Yep. That's what rckstain said.

I did not know about the fasteners beneath the window seal. On most salvage PT's the windows are up and I would need to remove the window lift motor to get them down. So I didn't know about the rest.

It never fails that I learn something new here everyday.

PS: I'm very glad that I tried removing these from a salvage PT first instead of my own car.
rckstein and 03TXPTGT like this.

Handy, I have a pair of fronts if you want them they are yours. Just let me know and I will drop them in the mail to you. You will need to clean them up and buff them out or repaint.

Great pictures !

You have to be careful not to bend the outer piece of weather strip on the rear door. Make sure you unscrew the torx holding the end down and CAREFULLY lift the edge out of the way to slip the trim piece off.

There is a piece of metal running through it- once the strip is bent far enough, it'll snap. And then it won't lay right again.

Good thread!

I didn't know to get these off too! The parts car at the yard, which I got all my goodies from, had chrome ones and I didn't want to damage them by trying to pry them off. Someone has since done exactly that and destroyed them, but I will know for next time!

Nothing much snaps on these days. Either two sided tape or screws seem to be the norm.

Started painting these today.

Got three pieces painted thus far - 3 coats S2 Bright Silver Metallic and 2 coats clear.

Will post pictures as well.
