Were you ever able to source a new one? I am having the same issue and I am hoping you can point me in the right direction.

Ok, lets keep this post going. I too could use one. It seems to be a two piece. The top black plastic and the flap. The flap dries out and becomes brittle and breaks. I have a source at a junk yard...but how do you get this off? Is there a OE part number?

When I got my convertible back last December from Florida I had the same issue with the lower part of the rear weather stripping being cracked and brittle just above the trunk lid. I was getting water in the trunk leaking into the high mount brake light.

Solution: I carefully chiseled off what was left of the lower brittle lip exposing approximately a 1/2 inch gap where the lower plastic lip was situated,

I then purchased universal rubber self-adhesive weather stripping and filled the gap where the lower brittle section once was and NO More Water! Tight as a drum! Saved some money and no one would ever know unless I pointed it out.

Did you implement Danny's quick fix, and did it work for you?
