Sorry to vent but I had a horrible experience with Best Buy yesterday and I hope by posting the details of this little incident, I might spare a fellow PT owner the grief I had to endure.
I finally bought a system and had it installed at a Jacksonville area Best Buy store and well to make a long story short, I noticed a screw driver scar in the A/C panel. I called the store when I got home.. called the store.. but the manager said that because I didn't report the find on site, they would not be held responsible. Ouch. |

Sorry to hear of your misfortune. This certainly does not seem fair to me.
[V] Does BEST BUY really expect people who pick-up their cars after intallation services to do a "white-glove inspection" on site [:0] before driving home? I recommend that you pursue this to the highest level in order to get satisfaction. Good luck.

Sorry to hear you got a bonus gouge. What the manager said is pretty much standard practice for any shop, it's not specific to BBY. I worked for BBY for about 4 years and while I can't say you absolutely won't be able to get something from them I wouldn't be holding my breath mate. You might be able to nag them into giving you a gift certificate or a small refund on the install charge but they'll never pay out for a new panel. Best of luck though, hope you get something out of 'em.
