Default Frustration with finding body parts for GT

This is my last ditch effort. I'm looking for a rollpan and Euro tail lights for my 2003...but I have no idea what I'm doing. [xx(] I'm new to this, and I really don't understand why it's so difficult. I really loved the look of PTeazer's Illusion Rollpan, but not enough to pay for the dual exhaust kit (any reason why that bumper can't be made for single exhaust? [:I]), so I decide on their plain rollpan. Nope, doesn't fit a GT. [:0] So I wander off to other sites. Either I'm doing something wrong, or Teazer is the only maufacturers of rollpans on the planet.

So I figure, while I'm getting the bumper put on, I'll get some nice clear tail lights. But every ad I see has "chrome" (as shown) or "carbon fiber". Um, I have no idea what carbon fiber looks like, but I may be willing to pay a bit more for them if I knew! [:I] Plus I don't know if they ever solved the issue of condensation, so I don't know if it's even worth it.

I have a body shop ready to do the work. But I have to find what I want. So I turn to you gurus...please help. [^] Any assistance or recommendations will be forever stored in my heart.

Whatever you do, do NOT get APC taillights.

WHY doesnt it fit the GT????

Mine is from PTeazer and fits just fine!

OLD APC taillights have shown to be of poor quality b/c the melt and collect fog. The newer ones seem to have solved this problem. Generation 2 or 3 is ok.

As for finding pics of the product, do a search on ebay "PT Cruiser altezza"

The back end of the PT hasn't changed since it's intro in 01.
I can understand the front end issue, as the lower nose of the GT is larger to accomodate the intercooler.
All the rollpans should fit.
I'd like to find a lower fascia other the the xenon kits.

Carbon fiber have a "smoked" look where the "chrome" is on the chrome ones. Carbon fiber gives the PT a different look which is good except them you'll want everything else that same color $$$$, oh well it's a PT money pit , but lots of fun.

Ok, so here's what I've found so far. Let me know what you think, if this stuff will be ok.

Here's the rollpan...

And here are the APC lights that I think I want....
http://www.autotrucktoys.com/ptcruis...ategory_ID=700

Couple of quick questions, though...
First, has anyone ever dealt with this company? Heard anything good or bad?

The rollpan, is it from PTeazer. or is it a copy of theirs? I ask, because it's $20 cheaper than Teazer. As for it not fitting, I must admit I may have gotten mixed up. I had many sites open, and I know I saw something somewhere that stated that for a rear bumper...however, it isn't on Teazer. My bad. But I would like to order the roll pan and lights from the same place.

As for the tail lights...here in Texas, lights are amber and red. Can I get an amber lens to go in it, or do I need to find another style? (I didn't think to ask them this when I called). Also, thanks for clearing up the whole carbon fiber thing (pun intended!). I think I may stick with the clear ones....

Thaks so much for your help, y'all. Sorry for being such a wimp.

Those APC lights are the ones I have. I have no fogging or melting lens problem after a year and a half.

As for venders, always try Race And Street. Their service AND prices are unbeatable. If you don't see what you want phone them or email Maggie and she'll beat the competitor's price without playing games with you.

You can also get those APC lights a lot cheaper than $179 on ebay. I got mine for $109 just by being patient.

The PTeazer Smoothie rollpan fits the GT properly. You can install it with two exhaust cutouts, one cutout, or none. I really like mine. I have the first generation taillights from APC and have moisture problems but no melting of the lenses. The first gen APC taillights also require two LED bulbs for each light. You also should install a variable in-line relay because the turn signals blink too fast with the aftermarket LED bulbs.

I got a set of APC Retro 3D lights in graphite and painted them body color (I have absolutely no idea how my wife guessed that I wanted them for my birthday. No, really - I only drooled over them a little bit at Cruise The Falls). I used an orange Sharpie to tint the turn signal bulb, but you can buy ones that are tinted orange like the front turn signal bulbs. No problems with the lights, and they took the paint just fine. General concensus from the folks that play Guess-The-Mod with me like the look.
