OK, here's probably a silly question. I have an '04 GT Turbo. At night I can see the third brake in the rear window when I apply the brakes.
I had an '02 Touring Edition, and didn't have theis problem. Is this because the third brake light is on top in the '04's? Just an agrvation thing! Thanks! |

You can actually see the 3rd brake light, or just some glow from it? I thought all the cruisers had the light in the same place. I can see a small glow when I hit the brakes. Check the inside panel that covers the light on the inside of the hatch. Maybe it came loose. It's held it by a couple of clips on each side. Just hit it easily with the palm of your hand to make sure it's tight against the window.

I can see a glow from the light. The Dealer put a new assembly in just the other day, and the "glow" is still there.
Thanks for you input! |

I too had the glow. I put a piece of Frost King Vinyl Foam Weatherseal, 3/8" wide x 3/16" thick on the inside of the glass where the trim piece meets the glass. Fills in the gap nicely and is flexible enough to take the shape of the trim piece. Been on for 2 years now without coming loose.

I too had the glow but when I switched to a custom LED third brake light, I put some sticky foam tape where the light usually shone through. All gone now.
