Default Cargo net hookup?

My local hardware store had a cargo net on sale for 5 bucks, so I couldn't pass it up. But now I am at a loss...my PT doesn't seem to have hooks for it to hook on to. Where do you guys have your hooked?

Pics would be a big help.

Joe,

The PT's that did include the cargo net also came with 6 chrome "D" rings so you could attach the black plastic clips on the net to either the 4 "D" rings (One at each corner) laying flat, or vertical at the end of the hatch (2 at the bottom, 2 half way up the end of the hatch).

I made up a picture real fast but could only point to 4 of the 6 "D" rings as the other two are back on the floor by the edge of the rear seats.

Well there's my problem then. The Cargo net that I bought has loops at the end that are made to attach to hooks, not D-rings. I have those D-rings, but no clips.

Looks like I might have to do some junkyard engineering to get this to work. But for 5 bucks, I have to give it a shot!

Check in Home Depot/Lowes - look in area where they sell chain & such - might have clips that would work - sure you can find something...

The clips on my factory netting are nothing special so just go and get some cheap (if you want factory quality) plastic ones and put them on the loops on your netting and U will have as good as the rest of us have. PS I love mine really anchors down all the little crap me and wife put in the back and now nothing moves. Best accessory non performance part I ever bought.

I have some S-hooks I was going to use to hang my BBQ tools on the BBQ with, but then I bought a new grill that came with its own hooks, so I think this will work perfectly!

Thanks to all!

Just to be clear I would not call mine S hooks but they are plastic clasps that open and close to hook onto the D rings. Tey are attached to the neeting so they can not come off. They are plastic and cant be very expensive. Just wanted to be clear

Heh.

Well, I guess I wasted 5 dollars. I tried hooking the net up, and it is WAY too wide for the cruiser. It said it was made for cars and SUVs, so I thought I would be ok, but it just sags way down.

Good thing it was only 5 dollars.

I am sure you tried it, but just thought I would ask if you turned it 90 degrees and tried it that way. I don't think the net for the PT is square, I think one direction is longer than the other.

at Canadian Tire for a few bucks
