Default Have you painted the rear mud guards?

If anyone out there has painted a set of the molded rear mud guards to match your body, could you post a pic?
Thanks

Sorry don't have a pic. I painted mine then bought a roll pan and decided it would not go well together. Just make sure you use an adhesion promoter like Bull Dog before you paint them or the paint will peel off for sure.

Double Ditto on the adhesion promoter. I tried painting them without using promoter and the paint just started flaking off. Sanded them back down, used adhesion promoter and repainted and all is well.

The adhesion promoter makes sense. Did either of you use any flex agent?

It's a must for anything that is going to flex much. I used bulldog (prefer) and some walmart brand adhesive promotor. The Bull Dog promoter goes well (like it says) on just about anything from chrome, plastic, fiberglass (excellent), aluminum, and glass. Just make sure to clean those up really well. Prep IS the most important step. If it isn't prepped correctly, a whole lotta things could go wrong

I painted mine black to match my PT. I sanded lightly, 1 coat of adhesion promoter, 3 light coats of black. They've been running for 6 months and look like they did the day I painted them.
It's pretty hard to take pictures of black splash guards on a black cruiser and be able to tell anything from them.
