has anyone powder coated there head and intake manifold? if so is there a problem with heat? was thinking of getting it done but figgured i would ask u peoples first...[:I]

I don't have time to do a search but yes, people have done it and appear to by satisfied.

powdercoating is pretty tough. it needs to be baked on at 400-450*F so it would be fine under the hood. it looks great and is easier than raw aluminum to keep clean.
for insulating properties some have ceramic coated their manifolds.

i had the valve cover and intake manifold powdercoated on my wife's pt and it came out nice, much easier to keep clean and no problems since it was done a year ago. Just have to think about which colors to use, some come out better than others. see here:

thats nice... i was reading up on the intake stain posts and was a little scared... but i think im gonna go with it... gonna do my rims, intake, head and have stage 1 installed in the same day lol! u think it will hold up to the exaust from the muffler back? i got the duels and was toying with the idea... [:I]

Sorry about the pic. Had a better one but can't find it. This is a GT from one of the guys at my Tampa Bay PT Cruiser Club. He powdercoated the manifold and it really looks good.

I did mine in florecent? yellow. I hook a black light up to the hood at shows. Goes pretty good with the florecent? yellow hoses too [|)]
