I'm 19 in like a week now. I want to get a motorcycle this winter. My parents dont approve of this but they said its my money and i can do what i want with it. So i was looking at insurance quotes and since i have 2 at fault crashes in the pt, insurance is HIGH. about 2500 a year. But i found a progressive quote for 335$ a year with the only coverage being 20,000/personal, 40,000/accident, and 10,000/property. My question is this, is this just stupid to get a bike with pretty much nothing covered by my insurance? I mean i see it this way, its my bike, my money, my work, all mine. If anything were to happen to it i wuld be paying my money to fix it and do anything it needs.

I hope we can all take a moment and remember all our troops who have served or are serving, not just in the two world wars but all the conflicts since then including our present involvements.

Whether you agree or not with what they are doing, they still should be remembered.

--------------------------------------------------------------------
On November 11, 1999 Terry Kelly was in a drug store in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. At 10:55 AM an announcement came over the stores PA asking customers who would still be on the premises at 11:00 AM to give two minutes of silence in respect to the veterans who have sacrificed so much for us.

Terry was impressed with the stores leadership role in adopting the Legions two minutes of silence initiative. He felt that the stores contribution of educating the public to the importance of remembering was commendable.

When eleven oclock arrived on that day, an announcement was again made asking for the two minutes of silence to commence. All customers, with the exception of a man who was accompanied by his young child, showed their respect.

Terrys anger towards the father for trying to engage the stores clerk in conversation and for setting a bad example for his child was channeled into a beautiful piece of work called, A Pittance of Time. Terry later recorded A Pittance of Time and included it on his full-length music CD, The Power of the Dream.
About 3 years ago I bought a 88 lebaron gtc vert for $50. Used it for 2 years as a daily driver and it is still being used every day by my partners son. The only thing it needed to run right was a head and tuneup. The rest of the needed work was cosmetic. We did tear down the engine just to double check it but nothing was needed.

Anyone else have a dirt cheap car story?

The other day as I was walking home from my mechanic...i was passing the Chrysler Dealer and decided I would pop in to see what was in the showroom...As I entered there were 2 SRT8 Challengers with 6speed pistal grip manual shifters.....one was B5 blue a very rare colour for 09 and the other was Hemi Orange.....out of curiosity and I guess my own stupidity...I asked a salesman what the price/s was/were? Well I guess i should of stopped right there....he made me sit down at his desk, ask me a million questions, took my phone number etc etc etc.....I cooperated but said I just am curious what they are selling for......well he went on to tell me the price will be worked out when everything is on paper and put to the manager.....I said....can't you just tell me what the approximate selling price on the cars was? Finally he said around 52000$....for the black one outside and more for the orange as it was a discontinued colur and even thousand/s more for the blue as it was very rare...less than 200 made. .................Well in the past 2 days the salseman has left 3 yes 3 messages on my machine asking me to call him back...I finally got so fed up of his aggressive pursuing and non stop calls that I phoned the manager and told him to tell his salesman that his constant calls were annoying the piss out of me and to give him the meesage I am not interested and if I was I would call him on my own or after the 1st message. I will never give my phone number again.....this was stupid on my part.:mad::mad:

Well it was 14 degees+ today...nice PT weather......now that my PT is in 99% great shape - brakes and front tires in the spring after hibernation, and my Mitsubishi Endeavor is 100%....I've now decided to do some winter car maintenance. The car has 200000 Candian KM...mostly from the 1 owner prior to me. Its a great little Toyota Corolla that runs like a dream. I had a free oil change coupon at a local Toyota dealer and of course their service dept found some issues...They claim it has a leaky rad? The timing belt is due, the 2 oil seals and the 2 belts need changing. The left axle needs replacing the boot split and the axle is clicking. The exhaust is patched in 2 places and leaking some exhaust. Brakes may need to be done. My geat fair and reasonable trustworthy mechanice will phone me tomorrow with his opinions. I only paid 500$ for the car which is mint inside and pretty fair now on the outside with some amateur body work I did. No visible rust now. 2 new tires were put on the front last year. Also a new taillight and missing hubcap replaced. I even fixed the console lid. The interior was totally steamcleaned by me. I'm willing to put about 1000$ into it give or take....I want to have a well maintained solid safe trustworthy car to use for years to come.

So who picked it up?

I'll admit I did, and it's incredible.

My system was new in Sept. '07 (AMD dual core 5600+ @ 2.8 Ghz, 2gb ram, 256mb Nvidia 8600GT) and while I liked Vista at first I grew to hate it over time due to the fact it's a resource hog.

My system ran slow, was slow to load programs and multi-tasking often led to problems... so I dropped $120 on the Win7 upgrade the other night, backed up my data, wiped the harddrive and installed it.

I'm in love... or shall I say my PC is. From bootup to shutdown and everything in between, the PC is a LOT faster. I can click on Word or Excel and they will load the instant I click the icon. It's using about 35% less resources than Vista did and it's definitely noticeable.

It's full of new tweaks and it's a bit easier to access things now IMHO. The UAC from Vista has also been tweaked and there are now much less annoying popups.

It's basically an upgraded Vista and it's what Vista should have been to begin with... at any rate, IMHO Vista was NOT a worthy successor to XP, but Windows 7 is.

I want to set up a simple form, then the user be able to hit submit and have the answers submitted into a database for review. I have a domain name that I can use, and Frontpage 2003 to edit, or Core FTP. Anyone know of any good sites to use for a tutorial?

Hey Everyone,

I figured just for he sake of the Holiday coming up, that I would post a couple of my favorite ideas for a way cool Halloween Costume. The first two Costumes are not only the coolest things I have ever seen in the way of Costumes, but also havr good instructions on how to make them as well. Check these out:

For all of you people out here in PT Land that said in a post a while back that you might be into playing Halo on your X-Box, or might likely know someone who does? Well, check this Site out! It is an entire Website devoted to people who show you how to make all of your own Halo Armor, Helmets, Weapons, and more using simple items you can find at most any store like Walmart, etc. Got lots of cool stuff here including How To's, Video Instructions, and even Templates to help make different designs! Here is the Link:

405th Mjolnir Armor - Halo Costuming and Prop Site

One of the Cooolest Costumes I have ever seen built is the Power Loader Robotic Suit from the Movie Alien! That thing was sick in the Movie, and I always thought how cool it would be if someone made one of those for real! Well, someone actually wnet and did it, and then posted step by step online how it was all done! To me, I love this one! Check it out!

Anyways, those are a couple of my favorite costume ideas. How about you guys? You seen any cool Costumes around? What are you going to be?

Lets see what you all got!:D

Go easy,
