When I have the cruise control set and my speed reaches 6-7 mph over where the cruise is set (mostly going down steep hills) the engine seems to go in neutral to bring the speed back down. The RPM's shoot up to about 3000. I have never owned a mopar product and I am not sure if this is normal or something that I should be concerned about.

I needed to replace by battery cables. I called the Dealership for my positive one, since they are the only place you can buy it. I was quoted just over $65. A bit steep for me so I asked the tech I was talking to if there was any other way I could got about it. He said I, he was pretty sure I could just buy a plain old regular positive cable from Napa and be fine as long as it was the right length. I called my local auto store and checked to see that they had the negative cable in stock. Measured my cables, and purchased what I thought would work...

No dice! There are two problems. The first is the negative cable. It only has one place to ground to. While my manufactures grounded in two places. And they second is the generic Positive cable isn't set up for the remote jump spot.

Do either of these things matter? I work on the assumption no. Didn't get me very far. I attached the negative to the frame and not the space underneath and Attached the positive to the starter, skipping the remote start. I got no juice. A friend was giving me a jump and I couldn't even get the click or the starter trying to turn over.

Any advice? Should I just shell out the seventy bucks for the cable assembly? Is it the positive and the negative?

Thanks for all your help!

I've wrestled with the oil drain plug on my wife's PT the last two weekends to no avail.

Two oil changes ago was the last time it went to a quick lube. When I changed it the first time myself, I asusmed they over tightened it because I couldn't get it out then, either. I torqued it to spec (14 ft-lb, iirc)

Yesterday was me, new vice grips and a hammer versus the stupid plug. I've shredded about half the plug and not moved the stupid thing a single millimeter.

I assume it is entirely seized up/fused.

What's an oil pan cost? I've seen a few listings online and they are all over the place price wise- is the dealer the best source for a new pan?

I'm trying to decide between these two engines, and I would like to get people's input. I know they use different fuel and have different sized rims. What I would like to know is:

How does their reliability differ?

Other than acceleration, how does their performance differ?

Are their any advantages and disadvantages between them?

Is the HO more difficult and/or expensive to maintain (other than the fuel grade)?

Are there any problems with their automatic transmissions (I"m having a really difficult time finding either model in manual transmission)?

Any differences in their MPG?

PS Although I started a similar thread in the convertible section (that is the model I'm seeking), I realized after the fact my questions had little to do with being convertible. I apologize for the double post.

thnx

No wonder I got a check engine light, rough idle and lousy gas mileage. Anyway, it does idle better and I hope it picks up the mileage a little. I didn't take the intake manifold off. One of the gussets on the intake made it a problem to get a deep well socket in the (#2) hole so I just took a dremmel tool and ground off enough of the plastic gusset to get the socket in the hole. Also put MSD 8.5 mm plug wires on it.

This morning, my Cruiser temp. went over "normal" for the first time ever.
"Groove in cap (radiator)"
"leak in radiator"
"thermo stuck closed - no coolant flow"
"noisy cooling fan"

They quoted a price of $1620 to replace the radiator and "cooling fan assembly". When I questioned the price, they told me a new rad. was $500 and the new fan assembly was $400. Is that REALLY possible?

BTW... I called a NAPA parts supplier and got a quote for $350 total. Mytax dollars arealready bailing out Chrysler. I'm not bailing out the local dealer too!!

Do you know MTS?
MTS is High-definition MPEG Transport Stream video format, commonly called "AVCHD", used by Sony, Panasonic, and other HD camcorders and based on the MPEG-2 transport stream. MTS file supports 720p and 1080i HD video formats.
And AVCHD stands for "Advanced Video Codec High Definition". This format was jointly established by both Panasonic and Sony in 2006.
II. How to convert MTS/Mod/Tod to AVI/3GP/WMV/FLV/MP4/MPG etc. on Mac

I. How to convert MTS/Mod/Tod to AVI/3GP/WMV/FLV/MP4/MPG etc on Windows

If you want to convert MTS/Mod/Tod files to AVI/3GP/WMV/FLV/MP4/MPG video formats on Windows, you need the third-party software to help you finish your work: Tipard MTS Converter.

Step 0: Download and install MTS Converter.

Step 1: Click the "Add Files" button and add the video files you want to convert.
Step 2: Select the format you want to convert from “Profile”. If you like to set your own data, please click “Settings” button.
Step 3: Set up the output profile and the output file path. You can default the output file path or select your own path by clicking “Browse” button on the line of Destination.
Step 4: Start conversion.

Tips:
The key features are shown below:

1: How to set effect of video
You can adjust the video such as brightness, contrast and saturation

2: How to split your video
The "Trim" function also servers as a video splitter for you to get any time-length video episode. You can set the "Start Time" and "End Time" to set the time of the clip or you can directly drag the slide bar to the accurate position.

3: How to crop off the black edges and adjust the size of video play region
By using the "Crop" function you can crop the black edge of your video and you can also drag the line around the video image to adjust the video play region to fit for your mobile devices. Have you found out the difference from the two windows? The bride and the old man are only in the picture.

4: How to save your favorite picture
If you like the current image when preview video, you can use the "Snapshot" option. Just click the "Snapshot" button the image will be saved and you can click the "Open" button next to "Snapshot" button to open your picture.

5: How to join your file pieces
If you want to merge several files into one file you can choose them and click the "Merge into one file" to do it.

Now your recorded video is well converted and edited.
