Cool 2001 PT Cruiser check engine light reset

I recently put oil into my PT Cruiser and after... the check engine light came on. I then disconnected the negative post on my battery for 5 minutes...while disconnected I turned the key on twice..to zero out the panel. Waited the 5 minutes and reconnected the battery and the car started and so far the check engine light stayed off. I hope this solved my problem of the check engine light.

Your the only one that can tell if you cleared the code. It should have.

HI .. Can the same thing be done for the passenger airbag light? It comes on when someone is in the seat and dings.

NO. It only works with the engine light. But worth a try. Just disconnect the negative battery terminal for a few minutes.

It's probably the wiring with the passenger seat. I'm not sure if the seat belt is involved or not.
