Default UPDATE - Re: first "Glow" pics

[?]

I went to a local strip mall with a well lighted parking area last nite, and took some better pics. Here's a sample:

More pics @ http://home.earthlink.net/~bumperbob1/glow3.html

You can see that these LED's put out a decent amount of glow for just over $50 total! Ebay to the rescue.... again!

I just bought some Alteeza tail lights to match my backup lights there as well. Should have 'em on this week!

Later ya'll [8)]

Bob, they look really good. I'm really considering doing this, but I'm worried about getting pulled over. I'm not sure what the laws are in NC and I'm having a hard time finding anything. I might just have to make some phone calls. Another question (if you don't mind my onslaught of continuous questions) can you alter how bright they are, the intensity? Cause if they're really bright, I might want to turn them down every once in a while.

I found a link somewhere that had all of the state laws concerning underbody/accessory lighting. I'll see if I can find it tomorrow.

I know that in Ohio, flashing lights are very possibly a ticket waiting to happen. I was also told that the cops don't particularly like red/blue/white lights, because they could be confused with official vehicles. Might get hassled a lot with those, so I went green, plus it looks good with my Lt Almond almost gold paint. They don't have an intensity adjustment though, just on/off and patterns. (not legal here unless you are in a parking area for the patterns)

This is where I found out about Ohio's lighting laws. Each state has info somewhere on here I think.

Thanks for the info Bob. I wanted red, but that's illegal in NC and my second choice was blue which is also illegal. So, I went with:

White. This one has a remote and 10 different functions. It will get here mid next week and I'll install it that weekend. I'll post some pictures when its all done.

Here are my white LEDs.

This project took me longer than I thought it would. Mostly because I didn't have the right drill bit and when I finally got one, it broke with one hole left. My set came with 2 remotes (which are awesome). They look like tinny tiny cell phones. After spending a day up under the car, I wish I had one of those fancy lifts; my neck is a little sore today.

I now have the most coolest car on the street. One of the neighbor kids asked if I street race; I had to laugh.

If they are hosted on a website like webshots or car domain, right click on the picture and click on properties. It will give you a URL. Copy that and click on the PIC button under your password when you're replying. Put the URL between the 2 IMGs and there you have it.
