Default Water in Foglights

I have a '03 GT and had to drive through some high water to get out of a rainstorm. While the car is unharmed electrically, I collected some water in the foglights.

Would I be able to drain it by pulling the lights and removing the bulbs?

I had the same problem but the dealer replaced it under warranty, so yours should be under warranty.

I don't know if that would work because I had to replace a low speed fan module and the horn due to water. Wouldn't these red flag my vehicle as far as warranty claims go?

I picked up water in my fog lights about 1.5 months ago after a rain storm; I had to drive through some unexpected puddles that were deeper than I had imagined. Mine wasn't so bad I had to drain it, and it just evaporated over time. I would think you should be fine to take out the bulbs and remove the housings. They're pretty easy to take out - putting 'em back in is a bit trickier, but it should only take you a short while. You will likely need to remove the splash-guard from the wheel well.

My hats off to Cruizin2K but most dealerships don't even want to hear about problems like this with the fog lamps. They just say that a rock or something caused the problem and now its your problem not theirs. My business partner has a bmw and had a fog lamp problem and they basically told her to F off, mean while $250 later.

Rather than take out the housing, use a shop vac and duct tape a piece of old garden hose to the end, then stick the garden hose into hole where bulb came out. (I used that trick to suck scale out of my hot water heater - went thru electrical heating element hole).
