Default PT Bruiser

Hello everyone.
Well, today my PT was ruined. I was driving down the highway in the fast lane & a big rig jerked into my lane & crushed the passenger side & pushed me into the concrete barrier on the drivers side.[V]
I hit the breaks & flew all the way to the right side median. He said someone cut him off & he had nowhere to go but into me. No injuries thank God! Dealership said all the damaged parts will be replaced, not patched up so that's good news. I will take some pics tomorrow & post some of them so you can see.

Glad I didn't put my new door spears on yet!
Has anyone had any problems with their dealerships body shop that I should know of?

Mikey,

Glad your OK. Your question doesn't pertain to anyone else's body shop. It's how good is your body shop and the employee's that work there are. You should have checked it out and seen some of their work before you let them get started. It sounds good so far as their willing to use all new parts instead of fixing the old stuff, but then again, getting hit by a "big rig" probably necessitated the use of new parts.

Thanks Crewzin,
That's a great idea. When I go to take the pics tomorrow I will ask to see some of their completed projects & some that are not quite completed yet. Luckily they won't start any work until the insurance adjuster gives the o.k.

WOW!!! I'm sure glad to hear that another PT Cruiser did its job and protected its occupants. The fact that you are OK is fantastic. The Cruiser can be fixed or replaced.

Thanks Basset Hound. Nice pic by the way. I have an idea, you all can post some pics of your Cruisers for me to look at so I don't get too lonely or heartbroken for mine. And include a sentence or two & tell me what you like best about your Cruiser.

Mine was... IS bright metallic silver so those are a plus!

Oh, and some interior photos would be great also.

No airbags deployed Stone. I only have the two standard front air bags on my touring edition. My heart almost deployed out of my chest though!

Well, Crewzin and I will tell you Silver is the only way to go.....
Good body work is an art - with luck it'll be as good as new. My '02 was after a suicide deer....
I'd say it'd be good to talk to the body shop and get a feel and let them know you care A LOT.
