No PT Cruiser comes with them from the factory. It is an easy install if you can use a socket and screw driver by lifting off the passenger side rear cowling by the windshield mine is black plastic. It is the piece that uncovers the windshield washer bottle on my 03 GT. I have replaced mine once already and found out that my dealer has the best price on them at about $17 and that includes the filter and frame you need. I asked two dealers and they told me they didnt know anything about this cabin filter so you may have to give them a part number. BTW it comes with very detalied instruction booklet.

It filters the incomming air that goes into yor interior cabin. Obviously it works best when you have a/c on and windows closed!

It also keeps dirt, pollen, etc. out of the A/C coils so it helps prevent that funky odor from the vents due to mold and mildew that can build up on the coils without the filter.

I would stay away from TENEFLY. I have had nothing but bad luck from them.
