Default How many miles on your PT?

My 2002 PT is at 97k (I drive over 100 miles each day) but I still have 2+ years to pay on it. I am just wondering if I need to be expecting any major service over the next few years. I hope to keep it indefinitely! But reality...

PS - I did just have the 96k tune up done, as per the manual.

Thanks!

Cb

Why did you replace them so soon?

Welcome to the forum. Stock wires are 'lacking'. Is yours an auto? If so, service it properly. Do a search.

2003 with 48,100 miles. The only service I've needed thus far was to have the plugs & wires all replaced - stock wires are garbage - and an A/C cycling switch went bad (handled outside of warranty for under $200 including labor). The switch was not a normal problem for this car.

In all, I've been pretty fortunate for the car to be out of warranty and still running quite well (knock on wood).

Edit: As of today, 9/15/05, 49,000 even.

Well it is good to hear that folks have not had too many troubles so far. Looks like I have the most miles of the posters though! I am commuter and love my PT; my hope is to go past 200k! [8D]

48,000 on an '03, sounds like a lot when you say it, but the time flew by. Tomorrow morning the Chrysler dealer will do the oil and 48K check-up. No problems so far.[8)]

If you are doing easy highway commute miles & keeping up on maintenance you should not have too many surprises. You might want to visit PTE & look at Padre Dave's posts, he racked up alot of miles & documented mods & repairs. I believe he gave his PT to one of his kids at about 150K. My silver 02 has 62K, allso 100 mile per day commute but it gets 4-5 months off due to winter.
