Default Rear Hatch shocks/ toast???

Has anyone had to replace their rear hatch shocks? Mine are getting tight to move plus they are starting to rattle a little. Just wondered if that's normal wear? [:I]Gary

TIP:
I worked for a company called Neff Engineering. They sold pneumatic and hydrolic parts. one of the technicians there clued me in that if you bring your autos hatch shocks in more than likely they can get a replacement for them for MUCH MUCH less than MOPAR

just thought id pass on this info

What he said.^^^
I replaced some struts cheap that way on a older Dodge Caravan. But they had gotten too weak to hold the hatch open not stiffer. (I think I had heavy, aftermarket speakers in the hatch, if I remember correctly.) They came from a mail order company back before the days of Google.
