Default Check Engine Light

Ok, I am sure this is covered in many other topics but I just wanted to ask.
My check engine light came on yesterday. I did the test by turning the car off and on four times and pressing in the odometer button to get codes, but it didn't return any.

So what could be causing the check engine light to come on? All the fluids have been flushed according to reccomendations?

Also, go to an AutoZone, AdvanceAuto, etc - they'll read the code for free.

I love you guys. Took it to Autozone. It was a cylinder 4 misfire. Doesn't look like something that I can replace on my own though. The huge intake things look intimidating.

Acutally it's not, if you've done any kind of work on an engine before. You do have to have the right tools, and that includes a torque wrench. Sounds like it's time for the plugs/wires to be changed. That's the cause of most (95% +-) of most of the mis-fires.

Yup.
If yours is a turbo, get copper Champions, gap at 0.038. For non-turbo, Champion Platinums gap at 0.042. Best wires are Cranes at RaceAndStreet.Com.

Let me give you an alternative and that is MOPAR High Performance plug wires and for plugs NGK Iridium and gap them at the factory gap.
