I was at a car show over the weekend and saw a 300C with the engine opened and he had LED's on his engine, at night it looked awesome. Great way to highlight your engine bay at shows. anyone do this? Crewzin, you can be the first in Florida!!!! Gary

LED, fibre optics, & neon has been used for YEARS. Hell we used to have Neon signs, strobes, leds, & hydraulics that danced to music back in the early 90's. LED's are nothing new.
I havent done cars shows in a while, so they may have something new. Did they have it set a certain way( set to music, flashing, ect..)? Or was it just there lighing up the bay? |

Gary,
As Tom said, all kinds of lights in the engine bay have definitely been around awhile. My computer controlled undercar LED's lights all connect to a central bus switch. There's 4 light bars under the car and the bus has room for 6 inputs, so I have two 10 inch light bars that I put in the engine compartment at night shows, but don't keep them there permanently. Problem with the PT is there's no good place to hide the light bars in the engine compartment so you can have diffused lighting instead of the light bar actually showing. [:I]
