The Vette will always be a winner! That is without a doubt the soul (I couldn't say 'Heartbeat') of GM.

That car is always getting better.
Solstive and Sky are cool too, but I really think GM is doomed.

HHR, its a wanna be PT Cruiser falling short by 3 light years. If you want to get something that looks like a PT Cruiser. BUY the original, no immitations please.

amazingartur, agree, the vette is always getting better, fantastic car. The HHR, cool and it will have followers, tons of mods already coming to market. Bread truck vs. hearst! Personal choice.

[:I]I was at a local mall today and parked right next to the HRR..I still do not see how they are comparing the PT to the HRR except for the retro look. The HRR is taller longer and wider then the PT. It should be compared to the scion and the element not the PT....From what I seen...I'll keep mine.....

I don't know if anyone read the Motor Trend comparison between a 06 PT Touring and 06 HHR, they both had N/A engines, but the HHR had the slight edge on the PT with 172hp optional engine. Motor Trend even choose the HHR as the winner of the head to head battle. I also have heard of a supercharged model coming soon (probably next year), but I still choose the PT's styling and reliability (vs a fwd Chevy).

Yeah, they put a $19,335 dollar PT Cruiser up against a $24,450 HHR.(page 54,"Price as tested") For the addition $5000 they could have bought a PT Cruiser GT and blew the socks off the HHR. In their summary, they described the PT as "more feminine" I describe their article/comparison as "trash".

Oh I agree with that ... they should have said the HHR looks more like a redneck version of the PT ...

I think that the PT is more feminine in the sense that the Corvette Stingray is more feminine. That is, they are more curvateous.

I got my first real good looks at the HHRs in Florida where there seem to be a lot of them (and PTs). Both my wife (who is an artists) and I think they are fairly awefull.

I like the little tail lights though.

Chevy had a couple of customized HHR's on display at the Richmond NASCAR event. One was Cruiser blue with a body color grill and flush taillamps, I thought it rocked. The other was done-up like a NASCAR Craftsman truck. I think that another retro-themed car on the block is a good thing. The stronger the HHR ends up being, the better chance for more goodies for us from DMC! [8D]
