Airbag light issues

Hey guys,
ON my way to work this morning my airbag light came on in the instrument panel, as I was turning into the gas station. I got to work and went in. On lunch it went off for about 10 minutes then it came back on as I made a hard turn into the parking lot.Then on my way home, it immediately went off again and hasn't been back on again...What would this be? Bad sensor? any idea how much it costs to repair this problem? Anythign that I can do?

You need to have the airbag codes read with a scanner.
Only then can you begin diagnosis of the faulty circuit to determine if a sensor, wiring, or controller has failed.

if you put the key all the way forward and back and do it a total of 3 times ( dont start the car) see if a code pops up where the mileage is

Bob,
That will only test for emissions system engine codes.
The other 3 hundred codes that PT can generate will not read on the odometer.

Has the airbag ever been deployed? If not, the dealer should look at it. If so, or if you bought it used, and do not know, then the dealer should look at it.
