Default Jet Chip
Has anyone here used the Jet Chip for a N/A PT? I was just wondering how it changed the car's performance.

From what I have herd on other sites it is no substitute for stage 1!!

N/A= Naturally Aspirated= NO TURBO.

Have heard mixed reviews on it, some like it, some don't. Nobody has a real fix on whether or not it does what it says it does.

What do you mean no one knows?

I wrote the installation guide for Jet Inc. over 5 years ago.

I performed extensive testing, and found that the sensors it intercepts are not used above 85% throttle.
It does nothing for open throttle acceleration, but requires premium fuel 100% of the time.

Don't install one.


I wrote many warnings on over 8 PT forums, including the install guide at www.PTdiy.net , warning owners about the issues with Jet.

The info is out there, as long as the forums keep achived posts available in the search engines.

And checking JET's website, they are selling what they call Stage 1 and 2 for turbo cruisers...... (snake oil....)

Jet Chip discontinued the original chip you are speaking of several years ago. They recently (like 4 or 5 months ago) released a new generation chip for the PT Cruiser.
