Recently I had a problem with my other, other car a 1995 Acclaim with 2.4 l, the Temp needle would slowly climb to hot then drop right off to cold right away and stay either cold or slightly above halfway. It turned out the Dealer charged my mother for 3 thermostats, Sometime past my mom went blind lost her license, I had the other dealer check it out they found the problem in less than 5 minutes. The head gasket was shot and had to be replaced. Its a cheap part however it takes about 8 houts labour to remove the heads. Its running great now, but its not a Cruiser
