Default ABS SYSTEM
Would lke to know when the abs kicks in, cause I tried it this morning on snow and did not work...at a very slow speed.

I have ABS, and it's not speed - related, it detects when car is moving and wheels are locked - it releases and reapplies brakes to let wheels barely turn.
Find an empty section of a parking lot covered with snow/ice, and slam on the brakes - you'll hear and feel the ABS - if you're a good driver, and don't slam the brakes in snow/ice, the ABS won't come on.

Thanks quicksilverdon, I will try this...all the snow I want to try this on in Montreal ! Just got my Pt Limited 2001 with only 54km on it ! mint condition...I was wondering beside carfax to know a bit of the car...is there any other way...I use to have a Ford Explorer before and was register through MyCarPage.com but now they don't offer this service...?
