Default sunroof wind deflector

i in stalled it last night and as i looked at it i said thats going tofill up with water when it rains because of the rake of the pt. any one know if this happens?

Yes it does. What I did on my 2001 was to cut the 3M tape to create water channels on each corner to let the water out.

Yup. When you wash it, too. Still worth it for breeze-free venting.

grantwildbill,
The sun roof has 4 drains, 2 to the front and 2 to the back for any water that gets past the glass seal.
We have the deflector that uses the clips to hold it on and have had no problems with water on either of our PTs.

haven't had a rain problem....we're going on day 137 without ANY precipitation here(Phoenix)....but when I wash it there is no problem.

I have one on my 2001 and mine doesn't fill up with water. I like how it looks, but I wouldn't put one on my 06. I have larger hands, and the one I have on the 01 is difficult to dry under when I wash the car.

thanks for the info . i slipped a 1/6 in. piece under the front lip on both sides this took care of the problem. thanks grantwildbill
