Hi everyone...new to this site...bought a PT 2001 LIMITED..very satisfied with only about 25,000 miles on it...and want to change the plugs on it...is ti something that is feasable or do we have to got the mechanics ?

Dan,
It sure is possible for the novice to change the plugs on the PT. The wires are a weak point in the ignition system also, so you would want to change them while the upper manifold is off. Use Dielectric grease on the plugs wires and anti-seize on the plugs. For a 2001 the hardest part is getting the EGR pipe off the back of the manifold. There's two different size (10mm & 13mm I think) bolts that have to come off before you can move the upper manifold out of the way. PRCruzr's write-up (and picks) are great.
DON'T just change the plugs - DO THE WIRES also. The stock wires are crap. I suggest Crane wires (RaceAndStreet.Com) - you'll get them in a few days...They'll last much longer than the stock ones. an '01 with 25,000 miles??? I have nearly 19,000 on my '05! ![]()
