Time is money! It's faster to switch out control arms than it is to remove the bushing from the control arm after you remove it. On the plus side, you get a new ball joint and front control are bushing.

I have a 2001 PT standard. I live in New Orleans, where the roads are like Beruit. I had to replace all the front-end bushings, struts and shocks recently. One thing that I think contributed is lower profile tires on the front end. I advise against it.
