Just be careful with the intake air sensor - it's a plastic clip-in you don't want to break.[?]

ok you guys I got it ! I will install it duraing the week end let you know the results...the only prob that I have is to remove the sensor...is this a clip ? only press tight in the hole ...is thaere anything I should know before removing this sensor ?
thanks for your precious help. |

The sensor just pushes into and pulls out of the hole, BUT, on the very tip of the sensor inside the hole is the sensor itself. Very fragile and can break off easily. If it does break off, you have to buy the whole assembly including all the wiring harness. So be very careful. Wiggle it around to break the seal and pull slowly.

ok you guys...intake installed...everything is fine except dor 2 things...first..the sensor...does not go in all the way like it was originaly...it works fine but I dont like that...and second..the little tube under (the second hole) does not fit tigh like orinaly...is this of any worries ? like I said it works fine...sounds good and I find that on corners it responds better..tell me what you think...ho yes one more thing....it came with a blue tude about 12 to 18 inches long...??? is this unly for packaging purposes or suppose to be installed somewhere ??
thanks. |

Dan,
The blue tube is supposed to replace the vacuum (black) line that came from the side of the engine and goes to the second hole. Did you get a blue intake adapter that lets the chrome inlet tube connect to the throttle body? The blue tube is supposed to match that connecting adapter. I searched the internet and found a red adapter to match all my red stuff (see pic below). As far as the sensor, are you sure you have it in all the way? As long as there's no air leak it should work fine, same goes for the vacuum line. ![]()
