Just had a similar problem in my 2003 PT fixed.I had a thump bump in the back end every time I drove on rough stuff.
It was the bell crank.Took the shop 30 minutes to diagnose and repair...no more noise.

it was fine until I change to some hard bushing and new sway bar.
I still suspect bellcrank or gas hose I just think the mech guy missed it

OK I ask the mechanic about the bell crank and he draw me the diagram of the rear suspension and told be he check everypart and even the bellcrank is in good shape..........He is OK if I buy a new one. ....so my quesion now is does anyone got a pic of the old and new bellcrank?
