Need some advice

Purchased a polished stainless steel piece to put under my hood. It is the large section. My question is, do those of you who have this mod leave it on all the time or do you use it just for shows. I want to install it, but I am not sure I want to have to put it on and take it off on a regular basis either. All help is appreciated.

I have a piece of mirrored Mylar that I ony use for car shows. It is held on by velcro that is for commercial use. IF you go that route make sure that the "loop" side is mounted on the car, otherwise when you detail your car the threads on the wiping rag will catch on the "hooks"[xx(]!!

I've had my liner on for about 2 years, and it doesn't seem to cause any problems. It is pretty easy to clean with window cleaner, and doesn't get all that dirty to begin with. The only thing I have trouble with are the screws vibrating out, try using loctite on the screws when you install the panel. Also, if you have a strut bar, check for clearance, mine has a couple of rub marks on it from the strut bar.

Thanks for the information. I think I am going to install it and leave it there. I do keep pretty good care of the Cruiser and try to keep it clean outside as well as under the hood.

One other thing the "blanket" under the hood is supposed to drop down over the engine in case of a engine fire. Without that little bit of protection, you could have a problem with your insurance company.
