Default CD Changer Compatability

I just picked up a super-clean 2001 PT (last saturday) and this is my first post on this forum. Basically, I'm trying to figure out if the CD Changer capable factory stereo in my 2001 would be compatable with a 10 Disc Changer for 2003-2005 PT's. Anyone out there have any experience with this one?

Thanks,

Utah_Aviator

Yes they do have a changer for PTs. You will need to talk to the parts house at the dealer and see if yours does have the output for the changer built in and if it does then they can tell you if yours will plug in to the changer. If it is not the same plug you may be able to get an adaptor from them. I gave my brother my cd player to put into his neon and all he had to get was an adaptor plug from the dealer. His neon was a couple years older than my PT and it would seem they changed the plugs.

Do not know about the hookup in the 01s but I put a Chrysler 10 disk changer into my 04GT and it was super easy. My factory radio had the hookups and the hardest part was bolting down the changer under the drivers seat.
