Please re-read your post before posting it as it doesn't make a lot of sence. What I get out of it is that it's your first show with your PT but you have been to other shows and the competion is stiff.
It's like that in all shows. All shows are different, but almost all of them look for a clean (inside & out) appearence. Even stock cars can come out first if it shows well. Take hints form other cars, ask questions on the products they use to make their cars stand out in a crowd. I just picked up a double trophy out of 175 PT's at Saint Augustine for Best Engine and Moderate Class (number of modifications). I know there were a lot of great looking cruisers at the show, admittedly better than mine, but half the score in each catagory was based on cleanliness and I will admit that once I'm done and prepared for a judge, you could eat your lunch on every inch of my PT; outside, inside and in the engine compartment. Learn from each show. Ask for the judging sheet at the end of the show and see where you lost points and make sure those areas will never let you down again. Good Luck.

I have only taken the PT to two shows and they were PT outings. I have however taken my Marauder to many shows. I have one a few awards and also have had noses turn up because they felt my car was too new. Good luck and bring home the gold.

I want to apologize if I gave anyone the wrong opinion.
I have competed in shows before with my 1972 Firebird that I completely restored. What I meant to say is that this is the first time I will be showing my PT and from attending past shows I know that there will be alot of other cars there both new and classic and I am a little nervous for this reason because these cars are very nica and very clean and I hope that mine is good enough to compete with/against them and stand out enough to pull some votes. |

Good luck at the show, and remember to enjoy it even if you don't win.
