Default Front License Bracket

Unfortunately,I live in a state that requires a front plate. This '05 Limited is new to me.I have seen ads for the relocating bracket but it seems that it would force the hotter air off the road thru the lower grille.Has anyone living in a hot climate relocated the front license and have you noticed any operational difference?Suggestions? Thanks, ron[:I]

I did it to mine, and i notic no problem with it, but i live in a cool climate, so i dont know if that makes any different. The air can still get under the plate, so it works fine for a non-turbo, if you have a turbo, you shouldnt use it because the turbo gets it's air from down there.

If you alreay have your plate mounted on the bumper, you'll have holes when you move it...
I moved it on my '02, just zip-tied the stock plate mounting to the lower grill - didn't want to do that with my turbo '05...

I hate having one up front and glad to see the state (TX) is discussing not requiring front plates anymore. If it goes through I am definately going to ditch mine but not sure of what to do with the holes in the bumper.

Here in NYC I like having the front plate on the bumper, it absorbs the impact when one of my neighbors 'parks by ear'.
