Default Headlight Problem

hey guys,
The other day, my low-beams wouldn't work. Only the Hi-Beams. I had to drive home with them on which was not much fun. I figured it was the Multifunction Switch. I ordered a new one, put it in, and Guess what...Didn't work...Am I missing something guys?

Ok, well it can't be the fuse because the Hi beams work. There isnt a fuse for low and hi (or is there?)

The bulbs are fine, I checked them and they haven't blown out. Any other suggestions?

I have a suggestion. First is the car still under warranty? If so take it to the dealer and have them look at it. I believe the possible cause is the multi-function switch that controls high beams low beams and fogs and turn signals...that may more than likely be the prob. i had a similar problem but mine got stuck on high beams so it was high beams or fog lights for me...but this to sounds like the switch is bad. He said he already replace the switch;

Check out the bulbs, if you're getting power to the sockets, fuses, etc. Start out small first (assuming you didn't).

The bulbs are fine, because when the hi beams are on. they work...so it isnt the bulbs...I have already replaced the switch/checked fuses..

Only have 2 suggestions, could be a ground & or did you install bulbs with a higher wattage than 55 watts? There have been problems with using the higher wattage bulbs, it heats the wiring harness up and could be grounded out to the body. These are just guesses. Could the pin be bad that plugs into the multifunction switch? Good luck and let us know how you make out

On my 2001, the fuse panal by your left knee. I have two (2) 10A fuses for the headlamps, Nr's #19 & #20. Do your have the same? Did you check them both? [:I]
