Here in Southern California the PT Cruiser has been a big hit since its introduction. There are so many on the road, it feels like they are as ubiquitous as Honda Civics. Since so many PT's have sold here, it has been a relatively rare sight to see newly "redesigned" 06's on the road.
I took a small trip with the family last spring (April 06) from LA to Vegas to Zion to Bryce to the Grand Canyon and back to LA. Over the 5 days, I was surprised at the number of PT Cruisers I saw on the road and in parking lots. I would guess around 40 to 50 in total. But the really surprising thing for me, was the fact that every one (but one) were 2006 models!! Most had non-California plates (if I could see them). Guess the attraction hasn't worn out yet. |
