Default Seat heater blinking

The seat heater stopped working. I was wondering if it might be a blown fuse or something simple to repair like that. The driver side is no longer working, but the passenger side still works. When I press the seat heater button, the amber led flashes for a few minutes, then stops, no heat. Anyone with this same problem?

it's flashing a code. Check your owner's manual.

Found the fuse box next to the air intake, fuse seems fine, would'nt both driver and passenger side be out if the fuse went. I'm going to check the manual to see what the blinking indicates. Called the my dealer and he said to get it fixed might run me $400 to $1000 if they need to replace the seat, because they do not just replace the heater. Has anyone tried the BTG heat seaters?

I say call some junk yards first to see if they have a PT with that seat in it.

Went to my dealer and they said the seat heater had shorted out, a repair could cost between $400 to $1,000, they might have to replace the whole seat. I'm thinking of getting the BTG seat heaters. I've got a bunch of parts being delivered so I'll be busy for a while, but I need to fix the seat heater soon since winter is knock, knock, knocking.

You can order just the seat heater bottom or backrest from the dealer and a auto upholstery shop can install it for you . I do this all the time for the car dealers. This route would be cheaper than putting in aftermarket seat heater. You do not have to replace the whole seat!
