Has anyone removed thee duals & reinstalled factory exhaust. What did you do with the cut out? Any other additional problems thanks ,,,[8)] MJB

Guess you could install one of these fake exhaust pipes in the cutout. Moss Motors sells them. www.cruiserbits.com

Or you could use a fiberglass repair kit and repaint the bumper. Why are you removing the duals?

Another thing you could try is installing acoustical insulation in the back of your PT, the kind you can get at a good car audio shop. If you still feel like parting with your duals I might be interested in buying them from you.

[8]Ok I just added more carpet padding in the cargo are & additional Thicker mats & also blocked the open seat area between the rear spli seats & notice a difference! I think if I can find something to insulate the back area totally it would be fine! It right now is actually ok..... thanks for the suggestions & anymore would be truely appreciated![^]

Mjb glad the suggestion worked for you, you can get acoustic insulation at any car audio shop or you can order it off the net from Crutchfield or someone. Here's a link: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-mwSqkN7...890&I=15411105
![]() It's really thin stuff and you can line your whole car with the stuff, line the floors under the carpet, under the side panels, roof, line your hood, firewall, etc. It will also insulate and keep the car warmer during winter. I used similar stuff like this when I built a teardrop trailer and it worked really great. If you want to go the whole nine yards to insulate noise and the cold, use liquid expanding foam in the corners or hard to reach spots. Just know with foam that if there are wires or moving parts behind the panels it might get in the way of them. Do all that and you'll be running the quietest PT around, close the doors and you won't hear a thing from the outside.
