It's time for my PT to get new tires. Does anyone have any suggestions on which tires are better. Has anyone gone to a different size? I have an 03 Touring Edition with 47,000 miles Thanks, to all. |

I think the Michelin hydro edge is the best you can get...very pleased with them...

I, too went Michelin Hydroedge. I love them. 90,000 mile warranty!!!
By The Way - I found best price on Sears website - they wanted more per tire in the store, but they honored the web price! With new valves, balancing, tire disposal, tax, road hazard, came to a few bucks withing $600. The $%%@# Good-for-a-Years cost that much.

I am very happy with Continental Extreme Contacts: Darn good all-season tires, in case The White Stuff ever figures in your calculations.

I am still high on my Yoko Avid V4s uni-directional 215's since I had switched them from my 03 to the 06GT on 03 stock GT wheels. They are quiet, pretty sticky, very long wearing, and great on water. Only downside is a little more noise and vibration on some surfaces than other non performance tires but better in all ways than the stock RSA's!!

Put a set of Michelin Energy tires on my 02 limited last week.
Unbelievable improvement over the previous noisy Goodrich tires. So quiet, so smooth...it ended all tire on road noise. Went to larger size 215/55/16 over the standard size 205/55/16 but I don't know if that helped. Joe |
