Well my fog lights wouldn't go out so I ordered a new multifunction switch. It stinks when you have to disconnect your battery to turn out your lights. Took 5 minutes to install now everything feels tight again on the stalk.

The MF switch is very cheaply made. To bad so many options that have to be on that switch.

Hey -
Just a quick question...
Did you go with the factory part, or did you find an aftermarket switch?

Apparently due to the issue you experienced, the factory part is on National B/O while they re-work the issue. With the company being sold, who knows how long that will be. Meanwhile - can't use my fog lights.

Buy the foglight kit. It has the MF control switch in it. Yes, it costs three times as much as just the switch, but at least you will be able to get your car fixed. You can try to sell the foglights, wire harness, etc separately.

BTW, if anyone wants a foglight kit minus the multifunction switch, I have one!

Is there a recall on PTCruiser multi function switches ? My Chrysler dealer mechanic says his computer tells him there are 3000 on order . . . ! ! ! !

I'm thinking about getting my foglights wired separately since they seem to be the ones that don't turn off when the MF switch malfunctions. Should I be doing this now while the switch still works, or wait until it fails again?

My dad was told that you can't even get that right now because the Multiswitches are not being produced!!!!

I have a stock MF switch for a system with out fog lamps. It would work if you are desperate and want to use your headlights, parking and sidelights.

I got mine back in late April/early May when the national backorder was only 150. Apparently it is now up to 3000. Perhaps people have caught onto the foglight kit trick.
