I suspect not. There's talk of a PT replacement, but not 'till 2010, and with an SUV-wannabe....

I've read that the new PT will be built on the Caliber platform. Which means it will be longer and lower. Hopefully, it will still have it charm. I think if you look at the 07 and project its front end on the Caliber you pretty much get the new look of the PT in 2009. I bet it will still have the distinctive rear roof line. I mean this is a cult car. You just don't want to mess too much with it. At least I would not.

Can't remember the site I found this at, but I'll see if I can hunt it up: apparently the '08 may be the end of the line; the name may/may NOT be revived for '10 or '11, with something that looks a lot like Saturn's SUV, but nothing at all like the Cruiser we all know and love.

It seems the PT Cruiser was far more popular than expected, which is the corporate reason for killing it off. Don't ask me: that makes no sense to me either!

I don't think anybody outside of Chrysler really knows at this point. They've run the whole gamut above. But with the recent sale, and especially Tom Gale coming back I'm more hopeful than before.
