Well, I got lucky....went looking for the cabin filter housing and found it. My 07 PT came with it. Will go buy a filter today and install. Found the Wix filter at O'Reilly. The part number has changed, but you can find the new one at the Wix filter site.

WIX filters, WIX oil filters, WIX air filters, WIX fuel filters, WIX Heavy Duty Oil Filters : Filter Look-Up

My 07 came with the housing also. The filter I bought on ebay came with a housing, so now I have a spare.

Nevermind, would have been nice to not have to search but found it. It's Wix part number 24725, if anyone else is looking.

Also, if you want to make your own, I got the dimensions off Wix's site: 9" long x 4.5" tall x 1.215" deep. Think I'm just going to use those dimensions and make my own, figure a good pleated filter should work. Found Energy Aire 18x30 filters at Lowes, that makes 12 cabin air filters off one Energy Aire, that'll last me forever....

Where would I look to see if my '06 GT has the filter and or housing for it?

ALL PT's >'01 have the housing, again ALL of them. I've heard others say no, but that's only if someone took it out. Remove the plastic garbage guards at the bottom end/leading edge of the windshield. They look like screws but they just pop in. Look down behind the washer fluid reservoir, and there it is, on the firewall.

Here's a nice tutorial...

Not with the filter, but with the filter box. It's odd, I can buy the filter in the box at my local stealership for less than the filter alone...how odd...

When did they start putting in the box? My '01 has a little baffle but that's all. I have the kit on order from the local dealer for a little less than the WIX at the local auto parts store. The WIX is probably a lot better filter, even mentioning bio guard or some such.

Edit, I see Chromenut says after '01......
