Default Oil drain plug

I've been a mechanic for a very long time. I change my own oil, so I was surprised that my original oil drain plug seemed to round off very easily. In about 3 oil changes, the plug was in bad shape. By this time I was careful to use a 6 point box wrench. This last oil change, I had to use a large vise-grip to get the plug out. I bought a new drain plug from the dealer, and noticed it's different material, and markings on the head of the plug show different material strength. So, if you've rounded off your oil drain plug, it might not be your fault.

[8D]Use Metwrench Tools and that will never ever happen....It grabs the walls of the bolt head not the corners....
