How do they switch on and off?

The kit comes with a new multi function switch that replaces the 1 in the car now.I was just shocked that i didnt have to do any wiring. The kit comes complete with all the wires lights and black trim pieces.I know the route 66's that were shipped overseas had fog lights from the factory.Just found it odd that you cant get a route 66 in the us with fog lights but the wires are already there.Makes no sense[:I]

I believe all 06 PT's have the wiring already there.

Do you think that's true for 07s? Is there a way to find out?

I guess the way to find out will be to pop off the black cover where the fog lights belong and if the wires are there they will be clipped on the bumper cover.

It's often cheaper for the manufacturer to have a standard wiring harness with all the options, than to have several different wiring harnesses.

Like Hooligan said, some models have the engine comaprtment wiring, some have all the wiring. The instructions include a part that covers identifying if you need to run the included harness with the fog light kit. You got lucky on your Route 66.
