Default Tried a battery search????

I tried a search on buying a new battery because I remember talk of a high crank battery. My cruiser is almost 4 years old with 48,000 miles and extremely cold weather in the NE. It hasn't failed yet but who knows. All I remember about the battery was it was yellow or red in color. I'm just pricing. Thanks

Gonz,

Your talking about the OPTIMA battery. Here's a couple links.

No, just did a search of "car batteries on Google. I knew what you were talking about but couldn't think of the name so as soon as I saw it I could narrow the search down to the Optima and PT Cruiser.

My battery went bad so I decided to have the dealer put a new one in while getting my regular service/maintence done. The battery was $69 (pricy, but not outragous), but the INSTALLATION was $97!!!

That's why most of us don't go to the dealer for routine maintenance. Try and find yourself a good mechanic by word of mouth from other owners, or come to one of the forums for help.

I found a good NAPA service center that I use. Dealer for warranty work.
