Default Is your traction control off when you turn car on?

hey all, when I turn my car on, the traction control is automatically off. Is this normal? I know is most cars default with it on. Its not really a problem, I'm just curious... cause I'd imagine this could mean that the computer has been messed with by the last owner.

The TRAC light should come on, then go off - similar to air bag.
Even if you shut TRAC off withthe switch, next time you start the car, it's on.

maybe the last owner got this thing tuned??

it still only holds 11 PSI at best though (spikes to 15)... which from what I hear is stock.

This is the same GT with a Glass-Pack instead of a Cat, and O2 sims fooling the computer?

Are you sure the ABS works?

Can you turn ON traction control by hitting the switch?

Full Throttle in First Gear from a dead stop should be enough to make Traction Control engage.

ABS works, traction control works. It was snowing the other day so I know this for sure. I've noticed its on and off randomly when I start the car. Its a roll of the dice. sometimes its on, sometimes its off... and yes I can turn it on and off manually by hitting the switch.

if the green TRAC light was comming off by the odometer I'd suspect that too... but I'm talking about the yellow TRAC OFF light on the temp/fuel pod. The last 5 times I've started the car now the trac has been on.. so I don't know what the deal is. Maybe the computer has fuzzy logic or something... I know the old DSM's did.
