Belt tensioner

goddamnit, already I've got a problem.

When I start the car when its cold the belt squeaks and squeals. Once it warms up everythign is fine again. I had this exact same problem with my mustang and it turned out to be the belt tensioner.... and I know it gets worse FAST. So I opened up my hood.. and realized I can't even see the accesory drive belt... oh crap. The engine compartment is soooo cramped on this thing it looks like I'm gonna have to take it half apart to get to the tensioner. Anyone ever have this problem? Anyone replace the tensioner and can tell me what to expect? This sucks.

ok, the problem reolved itself I think... there must have been dirt or salt on the belt or somehting.. cause the last 2 days I've started it in the morning, no noise.

[:I] my o2 Dreamer does this when I start it from cold only on rainy days. Probly the easiest way to get to the tentioner is to jack the car (USE JACKSTANDS) remove the right front wheel and the inner fender liner. This should get you to the area you want.
