It there a trick to removing the rear brake drums on a 02?

Robin,
The brake drums are just stuck/rusted in place. Once the lug nuts and wheel is off, there shouldn't be anything holding the drum on except years of rust and dirt built up, although make sure there isn't just one fat small screw in the face of the drum that goes into the center hub. Others have asked the same question as you and the advice is to hit the drum with a hammer all around the edges to brake the drum free of the hub. Metal on the hub and metal on the drum tend to stick rust/together over a period of time.
