Default 2003 PT/GT????

Hi all,
I'm the current owner of a 2006 Scion xA 5-spd M/T. Ever since the PT/GT came out ive wanted one, well now I've found it and i got approved for it and everything. I'm scared to get it, because it is a used turbo model. BTW it only has 45866 miles on it. Its an Autostick auto tranny, which i have to get used to... while i was on the test drive i tried to stop the engine while the car was in drive still!! I got some service records and it seems the the old owner didnt drive it much and took OK care of it. After teh test drive i smelled something burning, but it may have been a new car that was in the area that was being ran for the first time. The car is a STEAL it listed for $14,580 but they want to get me in it so they dropped it down to $11,500.

What do i need to watch for when i go in on monday to take a closer look at it? Ive test driven it, but it was rainy and traffic so i really couldnt hear anything unusual nor feel anything. With that many miles on it, do you guys think it will b ok to take home or should i stick with the scion? And, there are alot of TSB's out for the PT cruisers in general, which ones do i need to pay attention to? and what maintenance do i need to make sure the dealer does before i drive off of the lot???

im looking forward to putting it in my driveway. i love the sunroof! that is my favorite feature of the whole car!!! it dosent have a spoiler so ill have to buy one and it looks like it'll need new tires soon, what size should i look at getting?

Have you guys had any problems out of your PT/GT's?????

Welcome.
Is that 48,000 miles from now, or total? If it's total, that's only 2,000 miles or so from where it's at now...
You should plan on getting the auto trans flushed - see if dealer will give you a break on that - runs about $200 for a flush (not a drain, that's cheaper).
Are the tires Goodyears? That's what comes original - if the first owner got nearly 46,000 miles on them, that's amazing. Don't buy new Goodyears, nearly any other tire is better....
Only minor things - stock brakes don't last and throw way too much dust - Ceramic pads are the cure.
The stock ignition wires are crap - Cranes wires are really good - www.RaceAndStreet.Com
That's about it.
Oh, and most turbo owners use Mobil 1 synthetic oil - again, delaer seems to want to sell you the car - go to WalMart & buy a 5-quart jug of Mobil 1 5w30 and see if dealer will change the oil...
