Hey All:
After owning both a 2001 LTD PT and a 2004 LTD PT I have decided to customize my humble PT... Anyway, I figured I would get your opinion on the parts I have so far and get some advice on where I should go next. So far I have: Headers Dual Borla Exhaust 2 Inch Lowering Springs K&N Air Intake Strut Tower Brace I have been thinking about upgrading to a ZEX Nitrous System for the track, but am kinda stuck sitting on the fence right now. Does anyone have any more performance oriented ideas? Thanks |

Why not a supercharger? I know they are relatively expensive, but I believe that would be money better spent than buying Nitrous. NOS bottle empty - your slow again, Supercharger gets great gas mileage when driven nice, but the power is only a little bit of throttle away.
You can check out one supercharger in particular here: http://www.pt-tuning.com/performance...r_Whipple.html I would eventually like to get a S/C for my 2006 convertible, but it only has 400 miles on it right now, and I have another 35,000 miles of warranty, so I can't do anything that dramatic yet. Hope that helps, Matt

Everything so far sound reasonable.
The Bottle can be Really helpful on the dragstrip, but nowhere else (at least not legally) Be sure to upgrade injectors to keep up with the fuel demand. Supercharging can be helpful every day, but costs more up front.

You might do better to trade and get a turbo PT. The turbo connecting rods and other parts were beefed up for turbo use - you can get a used "turbo lite" from '04 on that uses regular gas and has the same internals as the GT, or buy a GT.
If you want to keep yours, from what I've read a Hahn turbocharger kit is a proven way to add zing...
