I have always fixed up my car that I drive, the wife always has the car and I'm always stuck buying trucks (wife says a family always needs a truck in it)..eeerrrrr!, anyway, I was ready for something with a back seat and I hate extended cab trucks so the perfect fit for cool, can haul some stuff, and has a back seat..PT!!, I'm not a Mopar fan, I just like the car....James

I bought a PT because it was the coolest thing available.

Chrysler products have come a long way since my last one -an 80's
Dodge Aries.

In fact, I found that I like the whole line of current Chrysler / Dodge / Jeep products. When the time comes, I'm going to replace my wife's T-Bird with a 300M or a Dodge Intrepid.

Hi everyone, this is my first post.
I figure this is as good a topic as any to jump into. I didn't "buy" my PT Cruiser, I won it in a sweepstakes! But I can say that the ONLY reason I sent in my entry forms was because the prize was a 2002 PT Cruiser. It's absolutely the coolest looking car that I've ever seen! My first car was a '63 Fury, but that's the extent of my Chrysler/Plymouth allegience... since then I've had two Toyota trucks. But now I'm driving around my dream car, thanks to the California Milk Advisory Board's "Real California Cheese" giveaway.
I wasn't sure if I'd like the color when they told me on the phone (Viper Yellow), but now I'm so used to it that I love it! I think it suits the car just fine. I'm considering adding flames....

Anyway, just wanted to say hi.
Lynn O'

Okay... I'm going to try to insert a photo of my new car from the giveaway event. Hope it works!

Lynn, Congratulation on your win and welcome to the club/forum. I wish I would have had your kind of luck...I too entered a PT sweepstakes that the local banks were having with an Inferno Red PT as the grand prize. No luck...and $25 out of pocket. One thing for sure is that even if it wasn't a PT, that Yellow will get you noticed. Be prepared for the crowds to gather when you park it. Good Luck and Happy Cruisin.

P.S. you'll have to get some sort of neat registration like this:

Hi Crewzin!
Thanks for the welcome! This is a fun place to visit.

Actually, we already ordered the license plate PT CHEZR. The family voted on it, and that's what won! I can't say that CHEZ PLZ was one of the choices, though... but that's a good one!

I *have* noticed a few people walking up to my car when it's parked and giving it the "once over," and sometimes I get waves and "thumbs up" when I'm on the road. I found this forum because someone from the area PT Cruisers Club saw my car parked and stuck their card in my window with their website address, and that lead to links, etc.!

Lynn O'

Hi Lynn, (if your still around)
How is your "PT CHEZR" doing?
That may be the only "Viper Yellow" there is. What color is the dash?

"Behold, the power of cheese."

The PT is the first Mopar product I've owned. Fell in love with them the first time I saw it.

Having two large dogs and a Maxima SE just didn't cut it anymore. I searched for almost two years before I finally decided on the Cruiser. During the two year search I read nothing but good about the Cruiser and when the Turbo came out I had it have it. It has power, cool looks and plenty of room for my two back seat drivers.

I haven't owned a new Mopar until the Cruiser. I still have a 73 Dart. I got one because I wanted a Mopar and it was the only decent one other than a truck they make.
